Israel's General Security Agency ("The Shin Bet") and police have detained a Danish citizen of Lebanese descent as well as two Israeli Arabs on suspicion of carrying out "security offenses." The three were arrested two weeks ago, but Israel released details just on Thursday.
According to Haaretz, a spokesman of the Danish foreign ministry confirmed the arrest of the Danish citizen, and said that is not aware of the nature of the accusations against him.
According to Danish press reports, the man is accused of maintaining close ties with Lebanon's Hizbullah movement.
