Deadliest day in Israel this October amid intensified Hezbollah missile strikes

ALBAWABA- October marks Israel's deadliest month this year following a surge in Hezbollah missile attacks from Lebanon. 

Heavy rocket fire throughout the day has claimed eight lives and caused multiple injuries, Israeli media reports. 

Among the casualties, serious injuries have been reported east of Krayot from missiles launched from Lebanon. 

Hezbollah also confirmed strikes on multiple Israeli military positions, targeting a Merkava tank and another military vehicle near Wata al-Khiam, destroying both and causing additional casualties.

In response, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on Bint Jbeil and Barashit, while also striking civilian areas and emergency vehicles in southern Lebanon, including two ambulance and civil defense vehicles in Tyre and a residential area in the Tyre district. 

These Hezbollah missile attacks are reported as retaliation for intensive Israeli airstrikes the day prior, which resulted in dozens of casualties.
