UAE police is still investigating the deaths of two Dubai children who were reported last week as food poisoned cases, to stand on the real cause behind the tragedy, the Gulf News reported Monday.

The bodies of Shilpa Siby Michael and Melwin Siby Michael, ages 8 and 4, were taken to the forensic medicine department to determine the cause of death, the paper added, quoting a police official as saying that the police is still investigating the deaths of the two children.”

The source added that one of the two children died on arrival at Dubai Hospital and the other passed away after being admitted. Samples of the food they had eaten were sent for laboratory analysis. If food poisoning proves to be the cause of death it will be registered as a case of negligence and not criminal intent. “But we are still awaiting medical and laboratory reports, “ said the official - Albawaba.com
