Amman—Orascom organized its second media trip for Jordanian journalists in collaboration with Sinbad for Marine Transportation, InterContinental, Sofitel, Marriott Beach Resort, Hyatt Regency, El Wekala Golf Resort, Canyon Motor Safari and Waterworld

As part of their drive to strengthen communication with the Jordanian media, and to ensure a greater diversity of tourism between Jordan and Egypt, Orascom conducted its second journalists’ trip to Taba Heights for Al Faridah Group for Specialized Publication.

This visit comes as an extension of continued Jordanian media trips to Taba Heights, which includes a stay at one of the luxurious 5* hotels in Taba Heights, as part of Orascom's long term plan to develop and promote this fascinating tourist resort on the Red Sea. This visit is also evidence of the cooperation between the tourism sector and the media.

This trip has been distinguished from previous trips in that it included a number of journalists from the same press group "Al Faridah Group for Specialized Publications", which includes Layalina magazine, Ahlan magazine, Venture magazine, U magazine, JO  magazine and Viva  magazine.

The trip included several activities, starting with a special trip to the Sinai desert, and continued with watching Arabian folklore dancing in a comfortable and calm atmosphere that combines the enchantment of the sea and nature of Taba Heights. It is considered to be one of the most unique private properties designed to highlight its beauty and richness, compared to other tourist attractions in the Middle ease and North Africa.

Al Faridah representatives also enjoyed engaging in a number of water sports such as water skiing and riding the "Semi Submarine," which is specially designed to suit dive enthusiasts as well as non-divers who seek to enjoy the water world without actually getting wet. The Semi Sub is built with one half above water and one half under the water’s surface.

Journalists also had a once in a lifetime chance to undergo quick training on the basics of golf with one of the greatest golf players in the history of Egypt and Africa, Mr. Magdy Abdel Aziz, on one of the most beautiful and glamorous golf courses in the region, which overlooks three countries.

Al Faridah group were welcomed and the value of the media’s role in developing the tourism sector was stressed. Ms. Nikki Priestley, Marketing & PR Coordinator said “We are delighted to host this creative and prestigious group, which has a significant role in highlighting Taba Heights as a tourist destination both externally and internally and putting Taba Heights firmly on the map as one of the tourism treasures of the region"

She also added, "We always put great effort into attaining distinctive high-quality services in our five hotels that fit in with the high profile of the buildings and architecture of Taba Heights Hotels. This allows our guests to enjoy the most luxurious services, accommodation and entertainment, to enable them to engage in a real travel experience."

During the trip Al Faridah Group had the chance to visit Downtown, beside Al Wekala Hotel (The Three Corners), which includes a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. This area is considered to be the ‘souk’ in Taba Heights, located at the heart of the resort.

It's worth mentioning that Taba Heights contains four 5* hotels and one 4* world class hotel, respectively the Hyatt Regency, Sofitel, Marriott, InterContinental, and The Three Corners El Wekala Golf Resort, working together in Taba Heights though an integrated system which includes free transportation and the unique "Dine Around" program which allows guests to choose their preferred dining experience from a number of restaurants and food outlets.
