The department of youth and sports in the Algerian Jilel district has gone through important developments during the last two years. According to Liberate Algeria, the director of the department explained that the allocation of new funds enabled the it to substantially improve the sport and youth facilities in the district.
Some of the major projects in these areas were the extension of OMS Stadium, the completion of El-Millia Stadium, the establishment of a new semi-Olympic swimming pool, the establishment of a new (100-bed) youth hostel and the renovation of a number of other youth hostels and youth centers in the district.
