Dozens of bombs exploded across eight cities in Bangladesh on Wednesday, targeting government offices, courthouses and press offices.

What seemed to be a series of homemade bombs went off in the capital city of Dhaka in several courthouses and market places. Several others were detonated near Dakha's airport, according to the AP.

No group has yet to claim responsibility for the attack, however leaflets found at the site of several of the explosions were linked to the Islamic group Jumatul Mujahedin. The group, which has been banned by Bangladesh's government, wants to establish an Islamic state in the country.

Other attacks occurred in the cities of Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet. No word is yet available on casualties in the attacks.
