DP World has been reaching out a helping hand to those in dire need in Djibouti as part of its Ramadan initiatives, helping around 300 families with donations of essential food items and donating Iftar daily during the Holy month.

The global marine terminal operator put together food parcels consisting of rice, flour, pasta, milk and cooking oil and passed them to needy families.

DP World is also sponsoring Iftar at three Djibouti mosques every day, feeding around 300 people daily.

Speaking about the month-long campaign, Mohammed Sharaf, Chief Executive Officer, DP World, said:

"Our terminal in Djibouti – just as with all our terminals around the world – is an integral part of the local community and the local economy. As a member of that community, we believe it is important to reach out to those in need. Ramadan is a time for sharing, and a perfect time for DP World to provide assistance to our neighbours in Djibouti."
