ALBAWABA - Sudanese politician Suliman Arcua Minnawi, commonly known as Minni Minnawi, announced the killing of 70 people in a drone attack on Alfashir Hospital in Sudan.
The Governor of the Darfur Region posted on X photos showing blood covering the ground and said it was a result of a drone attack on the Saudi Hospital in Al Fashir city in Sudan. Minnawi accused the Rapid Support Forces of carrying out the attack on the hospital.
On Saturday night, the governor confirmed that also among the 70 people killed were women and children.
He wrote: "The Rapid Support Forces targeted the Saudi Hospital, the accident department, the only department left from their targeting. They killed all the patients inside, more than seventy patients, women, children and others. May God accept them. Shame on the supporters of these terrorist thugs. They have surpassed ISIS in their behavior."
Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus condemned the attack on the hospital which killed 70 and injured 19 others.
he wrote on his official X account: "As the only functional hospital in El Fasher, the Saudi Teaching Maternal Hospital provides services which include gyn-obstetrics, internal medicine, surgery and pediatrics, along with a nutrition stabilization centre."
Ghebreyesus also revealed that the MADO Health Facility in Al Malha, North Darfur, was also targeted on Saturday, causing a pause in providing health care to needy people and displaced Sudanese.
