Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Dubai Chamber) is to be represented by its Director General, H.E. Hamad Buamim, at the 5th World Chambers Congress taking place in Istanbul, Turkey from July 4 to 6.
Delegates from chambers in over 100 countries are expected to attend and Dubai Chamber will be sponsoring one of the congress sessions on the final day of the event (July 6), entitled ‘World Class Cities – profiling the dynamism of our local business communities ’.
Held bi-annually, the World Chambers Congress is well established as the place where chamber and business leaders can network with their peers and share experience and best practice on issues that have a direct impact on the chamber of commerce community.

H.E. Hamad Buamin said: “The World Chambers Congress is an important date on the business calendar and a focal point for representatives from chambers from across the globe to network, pitch for business and keep abreast of what is happening in the industry. As such, it is imperative that Dubai Chamber is represented at the Congress to reinforce its position as a city which means business worldwide.”
Dubai already has strong links with the Turkish business community with over 200 Turkish businesses registered with the Chamber to operate in the emirate. The value of trade between Dubai and Turkey was worth almost dhs7 billion in 2006 and the Congress is the ideal place to not only foster an increase in this activity but to forge links with other chambers from across the globe.

Delegates will convene in Istanbul from as far as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Australia, Ecuador, Mongolia, Nepal, Madagascar, Uganda, Algeria, Afghanistan, Ivory Coast, Costa Rica and Cuba.
