Dubai Media City’s Radisson Blu Hotel is set to jam to award-winning musical artist Finley Quaye’s signature reggae chill out, March 11 2010.

Known, among other acclaims, for his two top 20 hits, ‘Sunday Shining’ and ‘Even After All’, Quaye will be joined by the Simon Van Gend Band, billed as an introspective indie/folk/rock group hailing from Cape Town. The band’s music has been described as ‘a unique blend of folksy-foot tapping-red wine-fireside poetry’.

A multi-platinum award winner, it was Quaye’s debut album ‘Maverick a Strike’ that hit the big time in 1997.  He has since then emerged as one of the most innovative artist around today, winning him the 1997 and 1998 MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act. He also scooped a BRIT Award for Best British Male Solo Artist.

Quaye has worked with some of the world’s class musicians, including Osibisa, IggyPop, Tricky, Primal Scream, Lee Scratch Perry and Buju Banton.
