DWC students participate in Dubai Lynx Academy

Dubai Women’s College (DWC) Business student, Lubna Falaknaz, and Applied Communications student, Asma Obaid Saleh Farhan recently participated in the Dubai Lynx Academy as part of the third Dubai International Advertising Festival. The festival took place at the Palladium, Dubai Media City, and incorporated the Lynx Awards for creative excellence in TV and cinema, radio, print advertising, outdoor marketing, direct marketing and interactive marketing. 
The Academy, formed by Dubai Lynx and Leo Burnett, is a dedicated educational programme for top students from Middle East and North Africa (MENA) who are interested in advertising and communication. Students had the opportunity to attend various activities of the event, and were also offered private tutorials and seminars by leading industry figures. The unique educational experience aimed at helping students understand the world of advertising. 
Dr. Howard Reed, Director of Dubai Women’s College said, “We commend the Academy for providing this opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of the advertising industry, to network with the most creative talent in the field and to nurture their future careers in this dynamic industry.”
Business student, Lubna Falaknaz said that this was a chance of a life time.  “I cannot express how grateful I am for the opportunity to spend three days with industry experts as well as national and international students.  I want to pursue a career in advertising and communication.  I hope this experience will allow me to stand out from the crowd.” She added.
