Edutech, a leading provider of educational solutions and services, has announced that it will showcase the first ‘21st Century Smart Classroom’, an integrated classroom environment that incorporates best-in-class interactive learning and teaching technologies, to the Middle East. In line with this, the leading educational solutions provider will set-up the actual classroom and conduct hands-on demonstrations on interactive learning and teaching technologies at the upcoming Global Educational Supplies & Solutions (GESS) 2010, which is slated to be conducted from February 23 to 25, 2010 at the Airport Expo in Dubai. The classroom will also highlight the latest technologies from leading global manufacturers, which will allow teachers and students to maximise their teaching and learning experience.

The ‘21st Century Smart Classroom’ has a learning management platform that puts the learner at the centre, is simple to use, and flexible for future expansion and change, thereby providing the foundation for engaging and assessing the learners both inside and beyond the physical learning environment. It also integrates interactive tools and applications that enhance student participation, including interactive white board systems, content authoring tools, assessment system, collaboration suite, classroom capture and delivery system and student response systems. Technology-powered hardware found in the classroom such as teacher and student class pads and workstations, document camera and projector also help cultivate a culture of interaction and group work among teachers and students.

“Our continued presence at GESS signifies our commitment to delivering technology-driven tools that can further elevate the quality of teaching and learning processes across the Middle East, and this year, we have an array of innovative and exciting offerings to benefit the region’s education sector,” said ASF Karim, CEO, Edutech. “At present, we are preparing to set-up a genuine ‘21st Century Smart Classroom’ at the event, where participants can thoroughly appreciate the advantages of an integrated classroom. We are looking forward to another rewarding participation this year, and we are especially keen on initiating important partnerships with various academic institutions and other customers from different regional sectors to help them achieve their goals.”

Designed to take learning beyond traditional methods, the ‘21st Century Smart Classroom’ promotes real-time collaboration and improves student -teacher interaction levels, which can significantly boost student outcomes. In addition, the interactive classroom also ensures equal distribution of attention to students to ensure that no child is left behind. For educators, this increases their mobility, reach and productivity, while administrators can ensure optimum performance of their faculty.

“The Middle East is the biggest and most important market for Edutech. We endeavour to continuously improve the standard of education in the region to groom the students to be ready for employment. We will do this by helping schools, universities, and technical colleges manage and deliver adequate learning and training to meet the current and future educational technology needs of learners in the region,” concluded Karim.

Conducted in partnership with Worlddidac, ‘GESS’ is the biggest event focused on the education sector, which provides an excellent opportunity for manufacturers and solutions providers to meet key decision makers and customers in the education sector all under one roof. Edutech’s consistent participation at the event is part of its ambitious plans to expand its operations in the coming years. In addition to the ‘21st Century Smart Classrooms, another highlight of the company’s presence at the event will be the formal announcement of two new partnerships with renowned eLearning technology innovators.
