A bus that was transporting Egyptian police officers was attacked by militants Sunday, leaving one soldier dead, AFP reports.

No group has claimed responsibility.

The attack occurred in the town of al Arish in the Sinai Peninsula where militants have increased violence against security forces in response to the overthrow of Mohamed Morsi.

According to AFP, over 400 soldiers have been killed.
