The Egyptian Arab Land Bank, one of the largest Egyptian commercial banks and one of the oldest banks operating in Jordan, presented 50 children at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) with gifts and toys. This initiative goes hand in hand with the bank’s 130 years of commitment to serving the Arab community, with a special focus on supporting needy segments of the society. Egyptian actor Hisham Abdel Hamid presented the gifts to the children along with EALB representative Mrs. Njoud Zheimat.
Abdel Hamid stated, “I am delighted that the Egyptian Arab Land Bank invited me to be here with them in Jordan and am truly honored to have had the opportunity to visit King Hussein Cancer Center, which is truly one of the best comprehensive cancer treatment centers in the Middle East. I encourage all organizations, big or small, to support the King Hussein Cancer Foundation to help enhance the care and treatment provided to all cancer patients especially those who are less fortunate. Your support will also advance scientific and medical equipment at the KHCC to provide the children with the best health care possible as well as raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis, prevention.”
Mr. Hazem Yousef, General Manager of the Egyptian Arab Land Bank, stated, ”We believe it is our duty, as a sociably responsible bank, to motivate and support the children at the King Hussein Cancer Center, and we hope the toys will put a small on their faces. We are committed to continually providing support to all humanitarian organizations in the Kingdom be it financial or in kind.”
He added, “The King Hussein Cancer Foundation is a non-profit institution dedicated to fighting cancer and it’s medical arm, the King Hussein Cancer Center offers comprehensive cancer care to patients of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities, through all stages of cancer.
