No casualties or injuries, says EHS Fire Department

 

EHS, the Environment, Health and Safety regulatory arm of Dubai World announced today that a fire broke out in the facilities of Hadeed Trading FZCO in the Southern area of Jebel Ali Free Zone at around 1:39 pm.

There are no casualties or injuries reported in the fire, and the cause of the fire, which started in the company’s warehouse containing cottons and wood, is yet to be investigated and determined.

EHS rushed eight fire fighting units and a team of 30 fire fighters to the scene, and took control of the situation immediately with the assistance of two fire fighting units from Dubai Civil Defence.

Mr. Nutankumar Manvatkar, Vice President, EHS Fire Department, said:
“The fire broke in the warehousing facility which contained cottons and wood. The fire fighting personnel succeeded in preventing the fire from spreading to the adjacent facilities.”
