Algeria has recently received € 750,000 to include human rights topics in school syllabuses, in accordance with a convention signed Monday, between the country's National Education Ministry and the European commission delegation in Algiers. Sponsored by the “European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR),” the convention was signed by Algerian National Education Minister and EU ambassador to Algiers.
EIDHR is a European Union program that aims to promote and support human rights and democracy in third countries.
