One person was killed and 19 injured in three separate explosions of hand-made grenades that rocked al-Agwat area, 400 kilometers southern the Algerian capital, according to official sources in Algeria.
The Algerian news agency quoted the sources as saying that the first explosion took place inside a building causing material losses in some apartments, followed by the explosion of a bomb which was planted on a public road close to the building during which one person was killed and other 19 were wounded.
The agency added that a third bomb exploded in the ground flour of another building destroying many apartments.
Meanwhile, Algerian newspapers said Tuesday that seven people were killed and others were injured in the current wave of violence in various areas of the capital during the past few days. La Tribune said two of the dead were Syrian residents working as technicians in the irrigation field. (albawaba.com)
