Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan Thursday issued three indictments for 11 individuals suspected of belonging to extremist militant groups.

Sawwan charged three Lebanese in custody over links to the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front based in northern Lebanon with plotting to carry out terror acts, the state-run National New Agency said.

The report adds that he also indicted eight Syrians, two of whom are in custody, on charges of belonging to Daesh in Arsal and north Lebanon.

The judge issued arrest warrants against the suspects.
