Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat", has honored students who recently completed their summer training within its various departments and sections.

In a keynote address during the ceremony, Mrs. Fatma Al Hajri Manager Personnel at Emarat, expressed her delight and satisfaction with the performance of the students. She also stated her deep appreciation for the efforts they have exerted during their training. While complimenting their great sense of responsibility and commitment to engage in useful activities during their summer vacation, she praised their enthusiasm and willingness to implement their assignments with high degree of efficiency.

Mrs. Fatma said that Emarat has always committed itself to design extensive programs within its various departments and sections for school, college and university students to engage in training activities. This is part of the corporation's concern for developing national cadres, especially the youth.

Emphasizing on the nature of programs designed by the corporation, she pointed out that Emarat works on creating the right environment for training and engaging in daily work activities. The corporation also attempts to assign trainees the right duties and continuously follow up with them to ensure their dedication and commitment. It also seeks to provide them with the right expertise and necessary skills to join the workforce successfully once they graduate.

Emarat has made it a priority to serve various segments of the community. "This includes schools, colleges and universities," she added. She believed the corporation's main interest in attracting summer students is to help them sharpen their skills and gain the necessary abilities to join the workforce.

She added that this year's summer program focused on the practical side of Emarat's business by providing the opportunity for student trainees to have direct contact with corporate employees, suppliers and customers. By doing that, the corporation helped trainees to become familiarized with daily work routine and to get acquainted with the process of dealing with day-to-day problems and finding the right solutions. In addition seminars on work ethics to identify the differences between theory and practice within various work fields were also held. She indicated that these programs allow trainees to join the corporation in the future, once they fulfill the recruitment criteria.

The student interns sincerely thanked and uttered their gratitude to Emarat management for their care and attention during the training period, which helped them gain more experience to launch their future career after graduation at a steady pace and with a more open mentality and awareness of life's multiple and complex challenges.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mrs. Fatma distributed certificates of appreciation and souvenirs and financial rewards to students.
