The Emirates Group has partnered with Chevron Global Aviation to honour its top UAE national trainees.
HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group, presented the Emirates Group – Chevron Global Aviation National Trainee Awards to 10 trainee staff members at a ceremony at Dubai International Airport.
Sheikh Ahmed commented: “I am very pleased to give recognition to the outstanding members of our UAE National Trainee Programme, in partnership with Chevron Global Aviation.
“Emirates’ commitment to the training and development of UAE nationals supports the Dubai government’s initiative to create a skilled workforce that will go on to be the country’s future business leaders.”
In addition to the awards, the winners will attend a four days’ Business Awareness and Personal Skills programme at Chevron’s facility in Singapore.
Presenting citations to the award winners, Todd Grubin, Chevron's Country Chairman Dubai & Vice President Operations Global Aviation, said: “We are delighted to join with Emirates in presenting these awards. People development is one of Chevron’s strategic focuses which is very aligned with Emirates’ policy of UAE national development.”
The top award for Outstanding UAE National Trainee of the Emirates Group was presented to Mohammed Mahmoud Sharif Al Nahari, a graduate trainee in the Executive Management – Commercial Operations department and currently posted to Emirates’ office in Mumbai.
The award for Best UAE National Trainee was each presented to Dnata Sales Executive Dawood Bahram Abdulla Pakzad in the National Certificate Diploma Graduate Training Programme; Muna Yousef Husain A. Al Mansoori, Senior Dnata Software Engineer in the National Graduate Trainee Programme; and Zainab Abdulla Sulaiman Abdulla, Travel Consultant at Dnata World Travel in the National School Leaver Training Programme.
The award for Best UAE National Trainee was also presented to Hussain Kamil Mohamed, Lead Aircraft Mechanic in the Aircraft MechanicTrainee Programme; and Mohammed Nasib Sunbakh, Ab-initio Pilot in the National Ab-Initio Pilot Programme.
In the Apprentice Mechanical National Trainee Programme (Dnata Engineering), the award for Best UAE National Trainee was presented to Senior Mechanics Hamad Malalla Al Sabri, Fahad Mousa Mohamed Bloushi, Adel Abdulla Jaffar Mohammed and Mohammed Ghulam Ali Qalandari.
he criteria for the awards were based on the nominees’ achievements in learning objectives and their demonstration of significant job-related contributions and positive work attitudes during their on-the-job training period.
