ENG and Colemont join efforts in Abu Dhabi

Emirates National Group (ENG) and Colemont Group announced the joint launch of Colemont Insurance Brokerage Company in Abu Dhabi during a lunch held on Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Bustan Rotana, Abu Dhabi.

The event which gathered key members of ENG and Colemont Group as well as media and corporate representatives highlighted the importance of this joint venture for both parties. Mr Abood, Group General Manager of Emirates National Group spoke on behalf of ENG and outlined the group’s development and increasing growth in the U.A.E. He also pointed out the varied services that ENG provides including its key element Fast Rent A Car which is becoming a local competitor of international brands.

Before introducing Mr. Ian Walton, Managing Director of Colemont Dubai, Mr. Abood added :” ENG’s commitment to this project and its strong foundation will hopefully develop it into a premier name in the Abu Dhabi insurance market”.
Mr. Walton introduced Colemont Global as part of Colemont Group, one of the largest wholesale specialty brokers in the USA, with over US$1.3BN in premiums in 2006. He also discussed Colemont Global’s increasing development with offices being established strategically around the world, including the Dubai office in 2006 and the new Abu Dhabi branch. He assured that regional offices are as equipped and experienced in handling and advising on property, casualty, financial, professional, marine, aviation, treaty and employee benefits. As part of the launch of Colemont Abu Dhabi, Mr. Walton announced the appointment of Eric Schroder as General Manager of the branch. He highlighted Mr. Schroder’s “extensive experience in Asia and the Middle East, having held senior positions at Jardines and Marsh” and assured that “he will be leading the Abu Dhabi team as of August 1st to help advance the Colemont name in the region”.
Speakers thanked the attendees for sharing in the launch of such a venture, one that is bound to increase both ENG and Colemont Global’s already growing notoriety in the region.
