Etihad Airways will celebrate its recent international awards’ success at this week’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, in addition to exhibiting a Spyker Formula 1 car on its stand.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline was presented at the weekend with two Inside Flyer magazine “Freddie” awards for its Etihad Guest loyalty programme, and at a separate event the carrier also won the title of “cargo airline of the year”.
James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ chief executive, said: “Etihad has enjoyed phenomenal growth in the last year and these awards acknowledge the impressive development that has been made throughout the airline.”
Etihad Guest won two “Freddie” awards at the annual ceremony in Virginia, USA, including the “special recognition industry impact” award and the “best website” award for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The airline’s ATM stand will offer interactive demonstrations of the many rewards and benefits of the Etihad Guest loyalty programme which now has more than 116,000 members worldwide.
Etihad Crystal Cargo was voted “cargo airline of the year” by members of the global cargo community at the industry’s most prestigious event, the Air Cargo News ceremony in London.
Etihad’s ATM stand will be packed with innovations from the airline including the Etihad-sponsored Spyker Formula 1 car and live demonstrations of it’s innovative diamond zone (first class) and pearl zone (business class) seats.
The impressive expansion of Etihad’s international flight network continues apace with flights to Kuala Lumpur and Sydney already launched in 2007.
Forthcoming new services to Dublin, Milan, Kochi (Cochin) and Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) will launch in Q2 and Q3.
Etihad Airways will be exhibiting at stand UAE 137, in Hall 1 at the 2007 ATM.
