Etihad launches melbourne prize golf competition
Etihad Airways is offering two return economy tickets to Melbourne in a competition on its new dedicated golf website www.etihad-golf.com following the success of its “shot from the yacht” challenge, held on the eve of last week’s Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.
Entrants to the competition to win tickets to Etihad’s next destination have to guess from a choice of five destinations the nearest one that Trevor Immelman’s first “shot from the yacht” landed on the global map green at Emirates Palace Hotel.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ executive vice present marketing and product, said: “Following the enormous success of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, we are thrilled to launch this golf promotion to our latest Australian destination, Melbourne which is particularly appropriate since this great city is famous for its sport.”
Etihad presented Abu Dhabi Golf Championship 2009 winner Paul Casey with two return first class flights to any city on its network of 50 destinations across the world following his success in scoring the most birdies and eagles in the championship.
Etihad Airways was a diamond sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship for the fourth consecutive year. The Abu Dhabi-based airline will start flying to Melbourne on 29 March 2009.
Notes: entries must be made on the etihad-golf.com website by 1 March 2009.
