Etisalat Academy to Provide Certified ZTE Training

The Etisalat Academy today announced an agreement in a series of initiatives with ZTE University to provide wide-ranging and high-quality technical expertise to operators across the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Based on mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences and information, the Etisalat Academy will begin offering certified ZTE Training to regional operators from its world-class training facilities in Dubai, aiming to build a long-term partnership with ZTE University. 

David Brennan, General Manager of the Etisalat Academy said: “This agreement breaks new ground in our cooperation with key telecom vendors. We are delighted to enter into this partnership with ZTE University. ZTE has recognized the quality and value of the Etisalat Academy and our unsurpassed role as a multi-vendor training provider. This partnership shifts us to a new model of cooperation – greater and more innovative – not only for Etisalat, but also for all telecom operators in the MENA region.”

As part of the agreement the ZTE University will train and certify Etisalat Academy trainers to deliver ZTE courses thereby extending the capacity of both organizations to meet market demands. Further, the Etisalat Academy has agreed to establish a ZTE equipment lab at ETAC which will be used to develop and offer public training and customer training.

Chen Jianzhou, Dean of ZTE University said: “We have been trying to contribute to the development of local communities, providing not only the best technology but also sharing the best practice. By strengthening our position in the Gulf through a relationship with the Etisalat Academy, it means that ZTE technology is shared and supported through the GCCs biggest and most respected telecoms training provider. ZTE is also renowned for the caliber of year-on-year recruits across China campus. We have been constantly managing a stream of talents from around the world, including the Middle East, Africa and Asia.”
