Etisalat Welcomes Finland’s Minister of Telecommunication and Ambassador

Mohammed Omran, Chairman of Etisalat, today welcomed H.E. Ms Suvi Linden, the Finnish Minister of Telecommunications and H.E. Mati Lassila, the Ambassador of Finland to the UAE who visited Etisalat’s Head Quarters in Abu Dhabi along with a high profile delegation from the telecom sector in Finland.

On this occasion, Mohammed Omran, said: “We are pleased to welcome the Finnish delegation. This meeting is an important opportunity to discuss points of view and ideas on the means of cooperation between Etisalat and Finland in the telecom sector, including services and the innovations that fulfill the present and future needs for individual and business customers.”

H.E. Ms Suvi Linden said: “We are happy to have this meeting which allowed us to discuss the latest developments in technology and the large potential that Finnish telecom providers have to offer great value to the telecoms sector in the UAE. We are delighted to have the chance to display our latest solutions to one of the largest global providers. This meeting is an excellent opportunity to discuss the ways we can support Etisalat and help them develop their infrastructure.”

Etisalat discussed different aspects of mutual cooperation in the ICT sector and an exchange of experience between Etisalat and Finnish companies. Etisalat also discussed the future of the telecommunication sector and the major services and solutions which will help in shaping the future of the sector in the coming years.

Omran showcased Etisalat’s expertise which has helped the company gain a leading position in the global telecom sector and, importantly, Etisalat’s ability to provide a comprehensive range of telecommunication services.

Omran also discussed Etisalat’s experience in the international investments. He explained that Etisalat now operates in 18 markets in the Middle East, Asia and Africa and provides its services to more than 107 million customer covering more than 2 billion people.
