Eton Institute, Dubai’s leading institute for training and development is hosting a free training session for current and aspiring teachers. This activity based session will give participants a demonstration of practical methodologies and tools for teaching a language to non-native speakers, based on the core principles followed by the internationally recognised TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)/TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification courses.
Dr. Eli Abi Rached, Managing Director, Eton Institute commented “Despite the economic slowdown, the education sector is still continuing to grow at a record pace. Analysts project over 30 percent growth in teaching jobs over the next decade making it one of the most sought after professions in the near future.”
“There is a huge demand” he continued “particularly for teachers of English as a foreign language both domestically and abroad. Although certification programs such as the TESOL/TEFL are helping speed up the process of becoming a teacher, there is still an acute shortage with demand far outstripping supply.”
The free teacher training session will be based on the core principles and ideologies of the TESOL/TEFL certification courses. In addition to being an educational experience for current language teachers, the session will be especially insightful for anyone wishing to explore teaching as a career.
The free TESOL/TEFL teacher training session will be conducted on Saturday, 09 January from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Eton Institute located at Dubai Knowledge Village, Block 3. For more information or to register call 800-Eton (8003866) or email teaching@eton.ac today. Places are limited and will be offered on a first-come first-serve basis.
