execujet middle east in fleet expansion
ExecuJet Middle East is adding four more charter aircraft to its current 14-strong managed fleet over the next four months as demand for private jet travel continues to attract more companies to position their aircraft in the region.
A Bombardier Challenger 850 will be added in December, followed by two Learjet 60XRs in January and February 2008 together with a Challenger 605 - all to be based in Dubai.
The new additions to the charter fleet complement a further four new aircraft that ExecuJet Middle East has secured under new management contracts. These aircraft will enter service over the next eight months, bolstering the total ExecuJet Middle East fleet to 22 aircraft.
In the region ExecuJet currently manages one Learjet 40; one Learjet 60; six Challenger 604’s; one Challenger 300, three Global Express’s, one Gulfstream G550 and one Citation III. Of these, the Learjet 60, Challenger 300, one Challenger 604 and the Citation III are available for third party charter.
“The Middle East market has experienced unbelievable growth, evidenced by the sustained increase in aircraft sales as well as the emergence of new operators and service providers within the region,” commented ExecuJet Middle East Managing Director Mike Berry.
The long range Bombardier aircraft are especially popular for charter and there is increasing demand for flights to Russia and the USA, Mike Berry noted. The Challenger 604 is also popular with its generous stand up cabin. Increasingly, ExecuJet observes that smaller cabin aircraft are becoming popular in the region – evidenced by the increasing number of sales of Bombardier Learjets and the new spn light jet from Grob Aerospace, which is winning over start-up and established companies alike.
“Although from a revenue and units perspective the regional growth experienced is probably less than 4% of the global market, nevertheless, MEBA reports an annual growth rate touching on 20% and this is significant in terms of continued market development outside of North America,” said Mike Berry ExecuJet Middle East is participating at the 10th Dubai Show at Stand No E542.
