FAR wins Throne Cup after dramatic penalty shootouts

Rabat's Royal Armed Forces (FAR) won earlier this week their second consecutive Throne Cup after beating Wydad Casablanca. It was the eighth Throne Cup in FAR's history.  After 120-minutes of 0-0 deadlock, FAR won the title following a 3 – 2 dramatic series of penalty shootouts. Wydad missed three penalties, while FAR missed only two.

 

The match was held at Rabat's Moulay Abdallah Stadium. It was attended by 50,000 fans, including Prince Moulay Rachid.
