Fashion concept Marami opens first store at The Dubai Mall

The first store of Marami, a fashion accessories concept, has opened at The Dubai Mall. Located next to the Dubai Aquarium, the store offers a selection of fashion accessories that complement the haute couture trends from around the world.
Showcasing a veritable collection of fashion accessories from renowned global brands, such as Lara Bohinc and Zufi Alexander, as well as customised collections developed by creative youngsters based in the UAE, the Marami collection currently includes jewellery, handbags, hair accessories and scarves.
The name Marami is derived from the Arabic name of the traditional UAE embossed ring, Marma. The elegantly designed store, featuring plush carpets and mirrors, exudes feminine charm, and is positioned as the UAE’s ‘original accessories boutique.’
Ms Salama Alabbar, founder of Marami, said the concept of the glamour fashion accessories store is to offer an extensive collection of trend-setting international and local brands in accessories to the UAE residents and visitors. “The fashion accessories have been carefully selected to give a choice for all customers – chic collections for youngsters to classic wear for the ladies.”
The Marami collection is based on the philosophy that “accessories need not be big or bright but must make a statement of one’s individuality,” said Ms Salama, who plans to expand the stores to the rest of the country and the GCC.
For the Marami collection, she also worked with several local designers to create an exclusive collection that is displayed on par with the international brands. “Our objective is to inspire Arab women to express their creativity and establish a distinct niche in the fashion accessories segment.”
In line with the current trends to strengthen youth engagement, Marami store has also launched a Facebook community, Marami Online, which already has over 260 members.
