The crew of the Syrian serial “Muluq-Al-Tawaif” (King of Taifas) is currently in Ouarzazate to complete the filming of the last episode, which will be aired on Syrian TV during Ramadan. Le Matin reports that after shooting most of the episodes of the serial in Meknes, Ifrane and Marrakech, Syrian director, Hatim Ali decided to move to Ouarzazate, which is situated at the crossroads of Marrakech and Agadir, for the shooting of the last episode because the landscape of Ouarzazate forms a “perfect background” for the shooting of the last episode. Several historical movies were shot before in Ouarzazate, including Cleopatra, Gladiator, Alexander and Kingdom of Heaven.
