On December 2nd, the UAE will celebrate its 36th National Day. The National Day gives everyone a chance to look back and pride themselves on the growth and achievements of their nation. Along with fireworks, shows, and other festivities comes an event that brings the essence of the UAE.
Live Dubai 2007 is an event that showcases all aspects of the UAE. It consists of a grand exhibition of the best businesses in the country, entertainment in the form of a musical with poetry and story telling and also an exemplary dinner during the event. The finale of the night will show an Arabic opera which will display the story of one land and its leaders who achieved glory and success. The opera will show how the UAE was shaped and will be performed by some of the finest Arabic artists. This will be its first of its kind, all musical scores and play script are originated only for the. A sizeable number of Emirati will be included all acts.
The opera is titled as ‘Glorious Wedding’- a story of a knight, Faris, in pursuit to bring light to his motherland in exchange of marrying his long awaited love one. The musical opera is very symbolical which transpires the union of UAE, its great leaders and the diverse cultures that contributed in creating a harmonious and prosperous UAE. Live Dubai is a 3-day affair which begins on November 30th and finishes on the National day itself, December 2nd.
Mr. Marwan Al Ajmi, the man in this patriotic initiative the event is a UAE national marketer, cultural worker and the Chief Operating Officer of Development Information-Dubai. Adding to this - the creativity and direction of the opera is Mr. Mohammed Al Naboulsi of Lebanon bringing a cast of stage performers and musical artistes. The grand event will attract over 1500 visitors of various nationalities to witness an upscale and original opera, first of its kind in the UAE.
