Former Mauritanian President Ends 23 Years of Exile

Former Mauritanian president Al Mukhtar Weld-Dada will arrive in Nouakchott on Tuesday after 23 years in exile in France, reported the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA). 

The Mauritanian government approved Weld-Dada’s request to return to his homeland, said SPA. 

Ezuddin Weld-Dad, the former president's son, told reporters that his father would arrive on a French airplane.  

Ezuddin said his mother and grandfather would accompany the former president – Albawaba.com
