Four Filipinos and one Saudi were beheaded by sword on Friday after they were found guilty of murder and armed robbery, the Saudi interior ministry said.
The Filipinos were condemned to death for "the murder of an Indian guard of a home which they burglarized," the ministry said in a statement.
The "criminals, who committed armed robbery as a gang," were beheaded in the Red Sea city of Jeddah, the ministry added.
The Saudi was beheaded in the northwestern town of Tabuk for having "shot to death with a pistol a fellow Saudi following a dispute," the ministry said.
With the latest beheadings, at least 111 people have been executed in Saudi Arabia this year, according to an AFP toll compiled from official statements.
Saudi Arabia applies a strict code of Islamic sharia law, which imposes the death penalty on people found guilty of murder, rape, apostasy, armed robbery, drug trafficking and repeated drug offences -- RIYADH (AFP)
