French financing for Straits of Gibraltar and Tanger-Med seaport railroad

A convention was signed last week in Paris between the Moroccan National Office for Railroads (ONCF) and the French Agency for Development (AFD) concerning the latter's willingness to partly fund the construction of the railroad, which will link the northern city of Tangier and Tanger-Med seaport.

The convention was signed by Mohamed Rabii Khlie, the general manager of ONCF, and Remi Genevey, the Mediterranean region director at AFD. Aujourd'hui reports that the total cost of the project is going to be 330 million euros.
