A Lebanese judge has lessened the sentence for Algerian singer Fula, who was charged with writing a check for 700 US dollars to her hairdresser without having a balance. Fula’s original sentence was to serve a three month jail term and had to pay a fine of one million Lebanese Liras.
According to the Al Rai Al Aam daily, the new sentence for Fula is a fine of 200 thousand Lebanese Liras. The sentence was lessened due to the fact that the hairdresser had dropped charges against the singer.
