GAM Concludes a Course Devoted to its Special Optical Needs Employees

The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) had graduated the participants of a course devoted to enhance the skills of the special optical needs employees “the blind”; the course was organized by the Special Needs Unit, in cooperation and coordination with Shams Al- Amal (Sun of Hope) society.

Deputy City Director for Cultural, Social and Sports Affairs, Engineer Haytham Jwainat, said in a word during the graduation ceremoney that GAM is always keen to support its employees, and to provide them with the necessary knowledge, each according to his or her domain, for the purpose of upgrading their performance which should enable them render distinguished services, with special attention to the special optical employees.

Director of the Special Needs Unit, (The Blind), Eng. Rana hadadeen said the course aimed at promoting (the special needs employees) proficiency, and employment skills,which is bound to positively affect their performance, and put them on par with their fellow employees.

The course covered the following topics: Braille Language, Communication skills, Interaction and APEX “accounting”.

Concluding the Ceremony, Jwainat honored over certificates to the participants amounting to 13 male and female employees, from different GAM departments and regions.
