gargash motors & general trading officially launches zoomlion concrete machinery with aed40 million in deals
Zoomlion products to be displayed for the first time at the Big 5 exhibition in Dubai
Gargash Motors & General Trading LLC, a leading business house in Dubai, today officially launched its recently signed agreement with Zoomlion Heavy Industry & Science (Zoomlion), China’s number one state owned Concrete Machinery Manufacturer, to market and distribute Zoomlion’s concrete machinery products with the UAE as a launch pad for the region.
The launch was announced at a press conference in the presence of Mr. Jianguo Zhang Vice President of Zoomlion, Mr. Chaucer P.L. Chen General Manager Zoomlion International, Mr. Samir Gargash, the CEO of Gargash Motors, Mr. John Arnold, General Manager of Gargash Motors and representatives from both companies.
“It pleases me to see two prestigious companies, one from the UAE and the other from China, forming such a strong alliance which is a testament to the flourishing commercial relations between the two countries,” said His Excellency Consul General Mr. Gao Youzhen, Consulate General of China in Dubai. “Zoomlion is a technology rich company with aggressive international growth plans that include the entire Middle East region, which has over the past five years become a very critical market for China.”
According to industry sources, the UAE is the largest construction market within the GCC with almost AED1.3 trillion (USD$350 billion) active projects. Besides the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait are among the Gulf States that host several high value construction projects, in addition to Iran and Iraq which are making considerable investments on construction projects.
“The agreement was signed only a few months ago and though it is formally launched only now deals worth over 40 Million AED for truck mounted concrete pumps, placing boom etc. are under active negotiation while a number of them have already been finalized,” said John Arnold, General Manager of Gargash Motors. “Our competitive advantages with Zoomlion are many. Aside from the price to quality price competitiveness, we are one of the only suppliers to have a full support and supply infrastructure where customers can buy equipment directly with out any time lags. We also have a solid after sales and support team equipped with the skills to meet any technical challenges that may arise.”
Zoomlion and Gargash Motors are participating at the Big 5 exhibition, the largest construction and contracting event in the Middle East. Zoomlion’s products, which include trailer concrete pumps, truck-mounted concrete pumps and concrete placing booms are also on display at the exhibition for the first time in the region.
