gcc finalist jets off to fifth international wella trend vision award competition in barcelona
The winner of the GCC Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award recently joined her peers from around the world at the 2007 International Trend Vision Award hosted in Barcelona. Jovana Gajic, a vibrant young hairstylist from Karisma Ladies Center salon in Dubai was given the opportunity to showcase her creative talent and create a total look in innovative styling including make-up, clothing and accessories. Gajic joined participants from over 50 countries and presented to a panel of judges consisting of international top stylists, a make-up artist as well as the audience.
Gajic chose to interpret the Pop Couture mega-trend defined earlier this year by Wella Professionals as a 1960s inspired trend. Incidentally, Pop Couture was also the winning look at this year’s International Trend Vision Award with a young contestant from Korea claiming the winning title with his interpretation of the trend.
Held for the fifth consecutive year, the Wella Trend Vision Award competition has been designed by Wella Professionals to support young stylists in developing their core expertise and to offer them a chance to showcase their own creative potential.
The three local GCC finalists include gold winner Jovana Gajic, Ruth D’souza from Hakim Aalim salon and Elena Aleksov also from Karisma Ladies Center.
