GE Oil & Gas has put the spotlight on emerging technologies and industry trends at two separate ‘State-of-the-art’ seminars held in Abu Dhabi, UAE and Doha, Qatar. The seminars showcased the latest in oil and gas technologies and upgrades and were attended by more than 150 industry professionals.
The seminars discussed a number of key topics including: Mean-Time Between Maintenance (MBTM) extension and longer life of equipment; new solutions for sour-gas applications; heavy duty gas turbine technology for power generation; advancements in aero-derivative gas turbines and LNG supertrains; flow business (pumps and reactors); and ethylene solutions.
The seminar also featured an overview of GE’s most recent acquisition, VetcoGray - a company specialized in upstream drilling and production technology for the onshore, offshore and subsea oil and gas industry, now part of GE Oil & Gas.
