German market leader Dornbracht presents Symetrics and Elemental Spa at The Hotel Show 2008.
At The Hotel Show from 8th to 10th of June, German company Dornbracht, an internationally active manufacturer of high-quality designer fittings and accessories for bathrooms and kitchens, will be introducing its modular Symetrics system, a product concept which will open up a new dimension in spatial planning for architects and planners as well as its latest Ritual Bathroom, Elemental Spa to the Middle East market.
Symetrics opens up new dimensions in bathoom planning. A large selection of individual modules for the entire bathroom, tailored to a fixed grid, which enables a whole variety of product combinations. This not only creates freedom of planning, it also provides installation accuracy. Thanks to its very precise structures, Symetrics permits a design that gives more room to the room itself. More room for opulence, for personal character and for furnishings. The fundamental idea: a matrix. All of the Symetrics modules are adjusted to fit on this matrix, so that they can be arranged together in absolutely any combination. Everything goes with everything else – washstand, shower and bidet alike. As a result, the focus is concentrated on the room as a whole, rather than just the individual designer fittings.
“The entire overall appearance of the bathroom can be completely redefined by the arrangement of the Symetrics moduls,” remarked managing director Andreas Dornbracht. “In using Symetrics, purists and individualists in particular can offer themselves completely new perspectives for room planning.”
One Symetrics element is the patented xGrid mounting track. This module enables the accurate alignment of the elements to be installed along horizontal and vertical reference lines. Characteristics of the xGRID module are the robust design in corrosion-resistant, yellow chromated steel, numerous fixing points for the accurates alignment and attachment to walls as well as fixing points with 30 mm spacing for attaching the fittings to the track.
Thanks to its restrained design, Symetrics can be used in combination with many Dornbracht ranges, and can be complemented with matching accessories for every area. The choice of modules and components thereby creates the greatest possible planning freedom, as well as a multitude of modes of application. The Symetrics matrix is adjusted to match the dimensions of the Dornbracht Balance Moduls. The product design came from Sieger Design.
Elemental Spa follows MEM (2003) and Tara.Logic (2006) as the latest of the Dornbracht Ritual bathrooms. The theme of Elemental Spa is the archaic and the original: the element water changes its surroundings. It can make a place unique. That is why Elemental Spa makes water the centre of attention. It becomes the starting point for personal and shared rituals in physical and mental cleansing, and makes the bathroom a refuge for the soul.
“Fortunately for us as a premium brand manufacturer, we see a trend towards quality products in the hospitality sector. Due to huge competition, especially in the five-star hotel industry, the hotel owner has to add visible value to a guest room to differentiate it and also to justify its price. The bathroom as part of the guest room gains more and more importance. It’s not anymore merely the wet room for the rational needs such as cleaning and washing oneself, but it becomes a sanctuary for the soul, where one can spend time to relax and contemplate.  With our Elemental Spa Ritual Architecture bathroom for example, which will be presented at the Hotel Show, Dornbracht offers these values, supported by our regional office and parent company”, says Phil Payne, General Manager Dornbracht Middle East.
“With the enormous construction boom in the region, especially in the hospitality sector, there hardly is a better place to introduce our new products to the local and regional market than The Hotel Show”, he added.
Other products on display will be the popular ranges Lulu, MEM and Tara.Logic.

About Dornbracht
Aloys F. Dornbracht GmbH & Co. KG , headquartered in Iserlohn, Germany, is an internationally active manufacturer of high-quality designer fittings and accessories for bathrooms and kitchens. The company frequently receives international design awards for its products and since 1996, has also been acclaimed for its ongoing commitment to culture. Since April 2006 Dornbracht has been publishing a bathroom and kitchen edition of ‘’Dornbracht – the SPIRIT of WATER", which documents Dornbracht’s self-image as a company of cultural relevance and highlights the spectrum of the Dornbracht brand. A magazine and catalogue in one, the publication is the successful link between inspiration, dialogue and innovation that characterizes Dornbracht's unique approach and way of working.
In 1969 Dornbracht launched the first ever designer fitting on the market – the Armatur 2000 – thereby blazing a trail for a completely new market segment in the area of bathroom design. The company continued its design-based orientation in 1984 by entering into collaboration with the internationally renowned designer Dieter Sieger. DOMANI, the first single-hand mixer developed by him for Dornbracht, became a much-copied trendsetter. Among others this was followed by the internationally renowned series TARA, whose pared-down archetypal form simply became a synonym for the name of Dornbracht, and finally MEM - the encounter between man and water possibly in its most original form.
