New Look is delighted to announce Kimberley Walsh as the face of their Autumn/Winter 2009 campaign. Kimberley follows in the footsteps of other celebs from the world of fashion, film, TV and music including Drew Barrymore, Agyness Deyn, Lily Allen and Alexa Chung.
New Look approached Kimberley following a number of initiatives with New Look’s on-line community, MyLook where users were asked to suggest their modern day icons. Kimberley was the leading choice due to her fabulous and “real” figure, her sophisticated style and the fact that she is “the girl that girls love!”.
The photoshoot concentrated on New Look’s fantastic new fashion forward AW09 collection, and included items from the successful Limited Edition range (launched in AW 2008).
Key pieces for this Autumn/Winter include “the coatigan” a fantastic mix of cardigan and coat that looks great buttoned up with a waist synching belt, the western shirt (think Southern Belle ala Daisy Duke) and of course the essential mac, whether in black and red oversize dogtooth, electric blue splash print or a classic beige given a twist with rounded collar.
The dress is still the style staple and New Look offers glamorous gold sequins shifts, a beautiful blue studded number, and the striking “Gladiator” dress covered in silver and black stud and bead work.
