Etisalat customers can soon access range of
Skywards Services on their mobiles

Skywards, Emirates Airline’s frequent flyer programme, and Etisalat have partnered to bring Skywards customers their updates and transactions directly to their mobile phones. All Etisalat mobile customers who have signed up with Skywards will soon be able to check their Skywards Miles balance and expiry dates, review their last 5 Skywards transactions, and access a number of other services from the convenience of their mobile phones. This service will be accessible for all Etisalat customers with Skywards accounts by January 2008.

Abdullah Hashim, Vice President Marketing – Enterprise Services, Etisalat, said: “We are happy that our partnership with Emirates Airline Skywards has resulted in this service for our shared customers, who will have information on their Skywards account within the palm of their hands. Once launched, frequent fliers with Emirates Airline will be able to manage their accounts even when on the move.”

Brian Labelle, Skywards’ Senior Vice President said: “Skywards is always looking for innovative ways to add value to our customers, and we are delighted to partner with Etisalat on this new initiative. This new service will add to the number of ways our members can conveniently access their Skywards account information, and we are confident that, when launched early next year, this mobile service would be welcomed by our members across the UAE.”

This partnership was announced at the sidelines of the Business Travel Show held in Dubai on 29th and 30th of October 2007. Visitors to the show will be able to experience a demonstration of this innovation at the Etisalat stand , Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre, Dubai.
