UAE Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Matar Humaid Al Tayer announced that if new government policies be enforced, all UAE citizens should hopefully be working within the next two to five years, according to Gulf News. The government has made a goal to satisfy increasing job demands of UAE nationals and hopes to initiate new policies that will enable both private and public sectors to employ nationals.
As of today, the UAE government is conducting talks with members of the private sector, aimed at raising the number of UAE nationals working in the sector. Al Tayer spoke at the second annual Careers UAE 2001 exhibition, which opened Monday at Airport Expo Dubai. (Albawaba.com)
