Christos Panagopoulos left Cyprus Sunday after five years of service as Nicosia-based Greece's Ambassador, stressing that bilateral relations ''have reached their best possible point and are the corner stone to achieve the island's reunification'', <i>CNA</i> said.
Speaking at Larnaca airport upon departure he said he was proud of the fact that he had arrived in Cyprus sharing the ''anguish and the expectations of the Greek Hellenism'' and he departs satisfied with the fact of the island's accession to the European Union.
