ALBAWABA - Hamas has denied on Sunday suspending talks on the deal of prisoners swap. The Israeli negotiation team lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for blocking potential agreements.

A senior source in Hamas told the French Press Agency that Ismail Haniyeh, the chairman of the political bureau of Hamas, conveyed the suspension to mediators and regional parties. According to the same sources, Hamas has done this step because Israel is not committed, and its military operations kill civilians.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem dismissed the claims using the messaging app 'Telegram', where he reported that the events in Khan Younis did not break any talks. Qassem stated that it was Netanyahu together with his officials that infuriated the Palestinians to any understanding of such truces.

Hamas also posted several statements of Haniyeh's diplomatic tours following the killings of Khan Younis and Beach Camp. Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, and Oman were continuing with the talks to reach a compromise on the issue of the Israeli military. Hamas went to the extent of giving hope that the diplomatic and political situation will be pursued up to the end to reach a compromise about the issue.

It further underscored Haniyeh's appeals to mediators to persuade international organizations, particularly the U.S., to dissuade the Israeli military attacks. Hamas attributed the reason for the delay in the prisoner swap and the peace talks at Netanyahu who it says is doing this intentionally amidst the increasing deaths and worldwide indignation.

Netanyahu's negotiations were branded desperate and aimed at obfuscating peace talks, according to the Gaza's Deputy Chief, Khalil al-Hayya in an interview with Al Jazeera. Al-Hayya reiterated that Hamas will not accept any of Netanyahu's conditions and said that the Israeli mediators had welcomed the new ideas that Hamas had proposed despite supposed attempts by Netanyahu to delay progress.
