ALBAWABA- Hamas has handed over the first three Israeli prisoners as part of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
The International Red Cross transported Emily Damari, 28, Romi Gonen, 24, and Doron Steinbrecher, 31, from Al-Saraya Square in central Gaza to Israel.
Israeli media confirmed that the Israeli army received the three women, who were reported to be in good condition by the Red Cross.
They will undergo initial medical examinations and then be airlifted to hospitals for comprehensive testing.
The Israeli army, in a statement, confirmed the successful handover, saying, "We received the hostages, and they are en route to Israel with a special unit."
The event was broadcast live, marking a significant moment in the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
Meanwhile, a Red Cross delegation entered Ofer Prison to oversee the release of 90 Palestinian prisoners scheduled for tonight.
The group includes female and juvenile detainees, with some heading to Eastern Jerusalem and others to Ramallah. Tight security measures are in place as the exchange progresses.
