Invasion forces have bombed the headquarters of Iraq's South Oil Co (SOC) in the oil-rich region of Basra, Iraqi Information Minister Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf said on Sunday.
"In Basra, the American and British (forces) bombed the South Oil Co," Sahaf told a news conference.
Meanwhile, a U.S. defense official said on Sunday that there were no reports of any downed aircraft, after Iraq said it had shot down an American Apache helicopter. "There are no reports of any downed aircraft at this time," the official at the Pentagon said. "I have nothing that would indicate that is true." (Albawaba.com)
