Heritage Zone at Modhesh Fun City
Modhesh Fun City, the City of Endless Fun, hosts activities that cover entertainment, sport, skill, and other spheres of personal development such as society and culture. The Heritage Zone is one such initiative that reflects the traditions of UAE and provides a platform for cultural exchange amongst the numerous resident nationalities in Dubai.
Spread out through various kiosks, the Heritage Zone includes displays for traditional handicraft, Emarati cuisine, popular sports such as falconry, and a range of hand-woven rugs. Visitors can have a glimpse of the daily life conducted in the Emirates before the advent of modernisation through fine details and simple displays such as the grinding stone, water carriers, mats made of date palm fibre, and even improvised see-saws for children.
A visit to the Heritage Zone is a must for families especially since it is educational and interactive. Located at the West Hall of Modhesh Fun City, Heritage Zone also serves an array of popular Emarati cuisine.
Modhesh Fun City is open between 10am and 10pm from Saturday to Wednesday, from 10am to midnight on Thursday, and from 3pm to midnight on Fridays. Tickets to the facility are priced at AED 20 that also includes numerous free games and rides.
