A car bomb in the central Syrian city of Homs killed at least seven people Thursday, AFP reports.
“Seven killed and others injured according to a first toll in a terrorist car bomb explosion in Wadi Dahab in Homs,” said Syrian state television.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also reported the blast, and said it took place in a predominately Alawite neighborhood, according to AFP.
Car bombs in Alawite neighborhoods are often claimed by al-Nusra Front, an al-Qaeda affiliated jihadist organization fighting amongst the opposition in Syria.
