hospitality haven for ‘the world’
Cinnovation Group acquires Nova Island on ‘The World’, with plans to build hospitality haven worth US$200 million

Cinnovation Group has announced the acquisition of the Nova Island in Nakheel’s ‘The World Islands’ project. The company also revealed plans to build a luxurious hospitality haven on this 400,000 square foot island - a project valued at US$200 million. Cinnovation’s acquisition of the island – and its planned development – is in partnership with Dubai-based Global Realty Partners (GRP) Group.

“Cinnovation selects the most exotic locations and the most reputed partners for its hospitality ventures,” said Varun Chaudhary, Director of Cinnovation’s Dubai operations.

“One of man’s greatest achievements in development, Nakheel’s ‘The World’ is an engineering master-piece that is quickly evolving into a one-of-a-kind destination, and therefore, is the ideal location for Cinnovation’s first hospitality project in the Middle East region,” added Chaudhary. “We have partnered with Global Realty Partners because of their development experience in this region.”

The hospitality arm of Cinnovation Group owns luxurious resorts in Maldives, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. Other projects include management and development of boutique resorts in the Middle East, South East Asia, India & China, business hotels in the Middle East & India, and eco-tourism resorts in Africa.

GRP, headed by Arshad Wahedna as Director, is one of the first property development companies to have invested in the freehold real estate market of Dubai. Since its inception in 2001, the founders of GRP envisioned great values in the property markets and have, along with its investors and associates, reaped the benefits of the boom.

The Real Estate division of GRP encompasses of various developments in prime localities and involves the entire project scope, beginning from conceptualization to the final sale of the end products.

On Nova Island, Cinnovation plans to create an island paradise that reflects the best aspects of its flagship property Taj Exotica Resort & Spa (Maldives), a Leading Hotel of the World.

“Some of the most reputed architects and interior designers will come together to shape this haven into the Emerald of the Arabian Gulf,” says Chaudhary. “Once completed, the project will be the ultimate in luxury: a perfectly-appointed, private retreat on one of the most sought after addresses in the world.”

Resting on the blue canvas of the Arabian Gulf’s sapphire waters, this haven will offer privacy and seclusion with ocean front guest villas and fractional ownership residential villas.

Located at one end of the island, the palm-thatched guest villas will be built entirely over water, with private sun decks that open out onto the Arabian Gulf. The villas will also feature private plunge pools and secluded courtyards with open air showers.

At the far end of the island will lay the private residential villas, overlooking the crystal waters and matching the guest villas in their architecture, location and luxury aspects.

“As the island is ultimately intended for both residential and holiday-making use, the project will also feature elements that take care of the dining, entertainment, relaxation and general well-being of the island guests,” adds Chaudhary.

A superb dining experience will be offered, featuring international cuisine prepared by internationally trained and experiences chefs. The bar & lounge located on the shore will provide the opportunity to enjoy a selection of Cuban cigars, world class spirits and fine wines. A spa will offer Ayurvedic treatments, Yoga and Tai Chi.

Work on the project is expected to commence later this year.
